Gaming with the kids
Last night, Alexander, Isabella, and I had a great gaming session. We managed to play three games after dinner without any fighting, crying, or teasing!
First up was Pictionary. I passed out the subject cards to each player, read them all aloud, and then let Alexander pick one of the subjects to draw. I picked the next one and Isabella got to draw whatever she wanted.
Next up was Zicke Zacke Hühnerkacke. Alexander managed to come up from way behind to steal Isabella and my tailfeathers. He is really good with memory games. Isabella didn't do too shabby either. I really need to work on this type of game.
Last was a quick round of Piraten Pit. Isablla wasn't quite in the game anymore and just moved (or not moved) as she pleased. Alexander almost won if he hadn't rolled so many pirates. I managed to win this one! Heh, heh.

Alexander's nickname
Yesterday, Alexander insisted that he no longer wanted to be called by his nickname Mausi.
#Sniff#
He is growing up so fast! It will be hard for me not to call him Mausi as he will always be Mausi to me. Yesterday I continously had to correct myself while we played Under Cover with Johnny. I kept saying: "Your turn Mausi, uh, Alexander."
I have wondered before when this day would come. It hurts a little. But I'm glad he is asserting himself and developing his personality.
